What it does

Agentic storefronts put a store's products in AI channels: ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, and Meta surfaces¹. On Google AI Mode and Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and Meta, shoppers can buy through a Shopify-powered direct checkout without leaving the AI channel, if direct checkout is on¹. ChatGPT is a referral channel: shoppers finish on the store's own checkout in an in-app browser or a new tab³. Orders appear in the Shopify admin with channel or referrer attribution¹.

How it connects to your store

Built into the Shopify admin under Sales channels > Agentic^1,2. Products reach AI channels through Shopify Catalog, or through the Google & YouTube channel or Google Merchant Center for Google AI Mode and Gemini¹. An Agentic plan exists for businesses whose storefront is not a Shopify online store⁵.

Price

Shopify says there are no fees for selling in ChatGPT or in Microsoft Copilot's direct checkout beyond standard payment processing^3,4. The Agentic plan's price is not published on the setup page⁵.
